Plants safe for crayfish to eat? Posted: 28 Jul 2019 07:15 PM PDT Every post about "crayfish-safe plants" is about what crayfish won't eat so its safe as decoration, but I can't seem to find any specific plants that they WILL eat that are safe for them. I'm going on vacation soon and instead of purchasing an expensive vacation feeder I'd only use once, I figured an aquatic plant would be good for food for a few days. A few weeks ago, I bought some Marimo moss balls and a small African Fern plant to test out with my crayfish. He loved to eat the moss ball but just seemed to tear apart the African Fern and not eat it. A week later he died, which I think was just from a bad molt, but I'd like to know if it was the fault of the plants I put in there. As for my new crayfish, I have some new moss balls left over and was hoping they wouldn't go to waste, but I don't want to give them to her and have her wind up dead when I get home. :( Does anyone know of any plants safe for crayfish to eat and if the ones I gave my old one were suitable?? Thank you!! [link] [comments] | ||
