I have three small 10cm butterfly koi, do they need food every day if I'm away for a weekend? Posted: 29 Jul 2019 03:25 AM PDT I have a holiday food block, but I'm away three days and it seems like a short time they could probably deal with since they have plants to eat. I don't want them to feel hungry and I feed them twice daily flakes. Is three days too long for no food. [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Jul 2019 11:22 PM PDT I have had a pond for a year now (about 1000 gal). I never really did any research, just filled with water, stones, plants and feeder gold fish. Lost the first batch of fish after last winter after changing the water too quick ( learned that lesson). Now I have a comet and a koi in addition to a horde of goldfish. I see a lot of comments about water analysis, and specifically chlorine and ph. I have never tested it. Should I? The water is pretty clear - I have a small fountain for oxygen that filters. I understand the chlorine evaporates from the tap water? Are koi more sensitive than goldfish? Thanks! [link] [comments]
