Petsmart Aquarium System

Posted: 10 Jun 2019 04:31 AM PDT

So I work for petsmart and just want to give you all a bit of insight on how our system works, and why you should always be cautious when buying fish from us.

Our individual tanks all connect to a sizable sump in the back with some filter media. Mostly just sponge. We also have UV lights but those don't seem to help much unfortunately.

The main reason for this post is to tell everyone that if one tank looks sick, they share the same water so be warned! That's why we always have issues with ick and such.

I 100% will give PetCo credit because they have rack systems in which they can localize illness to a few tanks.
