5G stocking recommendations

So I previously had some Scarlet Badis but over the years they became very shy and sourcing live food is becoming tricky in my area now. so I'm looking to stock the tank with something new after their passing on and only have some cherry shrimp in there at the moment but nothing too exotic.

Starting to remember why i went with SB's. It's a rimless and lidless tank so dont want to go with anything too jumpy but dont want anything to shy either.

Clown killi's are great but too jumpy for example. Maybe Emerald dwarf Rasbora, Sparkling Gourami? Any rare fish i might not be considering? Dont mind paying abit for the right fish.

Considering trying to grow a nice carpet and make it a mini shrimp meadow tank. dims are 44x22x22 cm.
