- I Found a Bigger Tank and have a Question
- Is this normal behavior?
- Does my goldfish have fin rot -and if so, how do I treat it?

I Found a Bigger Tank and have a Question Posted: 23 May 2019 01:36 PM PDT Would I be able to add my goldfish to the larger tank immediately if I were to use most of the old water which has already cycled then add new? I am going to run both a new and the old filter for a couple of weeks. Wouldn't this be the same as doing a 70% water change in the tank? I just feel bad that I have kept them cramped up for so long in a 10 gallon (no choice when I rescued them. For those who don't know, I rescued these fish from the abandonment of my old downstairs neighbor) and just want them to have more room and freedom. I noticed they pull the plant out, but don't eat it or its roots, they just wanted more room at the bottom, so I'm a little over-eager. Thanks! [link] [comments]

Does my goldfish have fin rot -and if so, how do I treat it? Posted: 23 May 2019 03:43 PM PDT https://imgur.com/gallery/FqKGjz5 There are some images attached. Tank Params: 120 gallon with four fancies. Only one is fully grown and the other are under 3 inches. Ammonia: 0ppm Nitrite: 0ppm Nitrate: 20ppm (before last water change which was done last night) Ph: About 7.6 I use two aqua clear 110 HOB filters, and one Eheim 330 canister filter. I'm concerned about my white fish, Ilyich. I just noticed today that his fins look a bit ragged - I suspect fin rot. He's behaving normally, still active and very hungry as always. My other three fish are still behaving normally, and their fins look perfectly fine. I've never treated anything like this before and I'm really anxious to use medication. How do I go about treating this? And any idea how he might've gotten it? I keep my tank really clean, so I'm doubtful it's a water quality issue. :/ Thank you! [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 May 2019 10:49 AM PDT My female ranchu is spawning but don't know how to fertilize an egg. I have two males in the tank but I have no idea if the eggs are fertilized or not? Any ideas? [link] [comments] |
