- A king sitting upon his throne
- My friend is having baby axelotls
- Nibbler is bad at Hide and Seek
- Would anyone be able to confirm the sexes of my axolotls? I believe they’re both male, but they both seem to be interested in mating with one another. Both have nudged and been nudged before.
- His name is toothless (duh) this was the hide that came with his tank and I used it to keep him safe while I cleaned his tank out. He still isn’t very big but he doesn’t fit in there anymore. Since the very first day he has been super chill & curious about me. (Its love)

| Posted: 07 May 2019 04:24 AM PDT My fiancé and I have had Axolotl's for five years now. We raised two of them from eggs and kept them with their parents in a 100 gallon tank with a 300 gallon filter with the flow cut back to keep the water still. They are kept in the basement which stays a consistent 65 -70 and the tank is always between 58 and 65. I had just made a half tank water change a week ago. I cleaned out the filter at this time too and changed the media except the bio balls to keep the bacteria alive. We fed them frozen blood worms for years with a turkey blaster. It's not going to bring them back but I'd like to try and figure out what would killed them so quickly. I'm going to try and raise their last batch of eggs. It seems they're still developing but I'm worried that if it's something in the water then the eggs will die or the larvae will. Any suggestions would be well received but please be kind. I loved those little derps so much. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 06 May 2019 04:43 PM PDT So to keep it short, I didn't have enough time to figure out I needed 3 or more weeks to srart a nitrogen cycle before getting the axolotl. I got the quick stuff, and as some have said it dies off and the ammonia rises. How do I start a natural cycle with him in the tank, do I have to have a substrate? Any tips will help.
