- I should have really thought more about putting green shrimp into this tank.
- Ride ‘em
- Baby blue dream riding red ramshorn snail
- I’m new to the Red Neos. From a distance the feeding pile looks like a heap of bloodworms to me lol
- Amano buddies
- My Breeding Tank (also first ground cover)
- Big and thicc (and I'm not talking about Mrs. Puff)
- So I never bought any shrimp recently, let alone a black one. I have blue and red cherry shrimp? Either way I like it!
- Love the contrast here!
- Black and Yellow
- My first shrimp tank is cycled. Red Cherries are on their way. JBJ Picotope 3 gallon.
- What is the orange/white markings on her back? More info below
- Rescaped my shrimp tank, praying they don’t dig everything up before it roots.
- Home.
- How do you kill hair algae? Thinking of using H2O2, but if there are safer and just as efficient methods suggested here, might find them useful.
- Plant? More in comments.
- I love my shrimp tank! I’m going to have to sell some soon, there are a lot of them!
- Will they hatch soon?
- Do cherry shrimps need different gene to be able to last a long time?
- Guppy fry to combat pests on a shrimp tank?
- Ppm question. What’s an acceptable ppm for baby crystal? I just had 12 babies(3-4 more prego females). They seem to be doing great. However my ppm keeps going up, and won’t come down. Originally the tank was at 150ppm, now it’s at 220. However water changes aren’t doing much.
- First time with shrimp, is this a molt or did it die?
- Adapted my shrimp to brackish water 1.004-1.008 6Month progress (AMA)
- My first snail rider

Do cherry shrimps need different gene to be able to last a long time? Posted: 06 Apr 2019 07:35 PM PDT I noticed after a year of existence, my cherry are either no longer having eggs, or the shrimplets are not surviving anymore. Just in January I saw 8 berried shrimps and later tons of shrimplets, but all died within weeks. All these shrimps (around 50) are from a same batch of 15 shrimps. Should I buy some from another source to mix up the gene? [link] [comments] | ||
Guppy fry to combat pests on a shrimp tank? Posted: 07 Apr 2019 12:18 AM PDT Hi, so I saw this small little "organism" on my shrimp tank and I noticed that they only appeared on the tank where I recently added new plants. Now it is my fault because I only quarantined it for like 3 days and the pests only came out 2 weeks after I added the plants. (there are also a couple of mosquito larvae) So what I did was I added 3 guppy fry on each tank that is affected and "Hopefully" they will eat them - I'm not sure whether this idea is good or not tho - or will this work or not? Will the guppy fry eat the pests? Now I don't intend to make the guppies stay, if I noticed that the pests are gone within a week I'll remove them and put it back on my guppy tank. Currently, I don't have any baby shrimp in any of my tanks and they shouldn't hurt the adult shrimps, right? So yeah: - It a good idea to add fries to combat pests? - Will it work? - Will they hurt adult shrimps? (I think they won't because they're bigger than the fries? - Any alternative natural solution on how to combat pests? - How long does it usually take to quarantine plants to be pests free?
