Weekly quick asks thread - April 26, 2019

Posted: 26 Apr 2019 06:14 AM PDT

Here is the place to post questions about pest ID, coral/fish ID, your cycle, or any other questions that generally wouldn't start up a conversation. If you have an interesting or unique question please create a new thread so everyone can discuss it in length!

These are some great resources for ID's of pests/algae.

Flatworm outbreak

Posted: 26 Apr 2019 04:08 PM PDT

So I have an unfortunate flatworm outbreak. I have now done two separate treatments of flatworm exit within the last two weeks. While it has severely lowered the numbers, it seems what is left is immune to the treatment. Last night's treatment didn't visually kill any of them.

Does anyone have any luck with leopard or six line wrasse eating these? I have also heard the dragonets may also pick at them. I also know that the blue velvet nudibranch will eat them, however I have a dottyback that would probably kill it before it can make a dent.

Any other suggestions are welcome!

Coral Beauty questions

Posted: 26 Apr 2019 07:42 PM PDT

I'm interested in getting a small coral beauty soon and wondered what experiences other redditors have with them. 32gal cube. 2 clowns. Purple firefish. And a watchman goby/pistol pair. And a fair amount of coral. Any dangers? And do they nibble on nori?
