• My first attempt with live plants and black water. Its three months old
• My 75
• Greenery and Ranchu Sauce
• Things are going pretty smooth! Ordered 10 RCS to hopefully start breeding! First time having shrimp so fairly excited ��
• Was asked to post a FTS, so here it is!
• 3 Day Old UNS 5N Tank. Hopefully Monte Carlo grows well. (Fingers crossed)
• Found these guys fishing today

• Referred here from r/aquariums. Got this plant in my shipment of shrimps and thought it was kinda neat! Any ideas of what it is?
• Looking for a plant ID! I found this spiralling grass hitch-hiking on an anubias I bought recently. It's taken off in our tank, anyone know what it is?

• My 20 gallon long tank. A little over a month in. Plants are starting to propagate often. Very happy with how its going so far. Handful of upgrades in the mail pretty excited!

• 2-3 month old 60g. Low light plants thriving. Rotala finally turning red. Lower parts of cabomba browning. Jungle Val slowly dying.

Substrates "break down"? That sounds like a huge pain in the ass. ​ I have a planted tank, but I'm really new at it and I've just got plants in regular old gravel. They're doing well, but I don't have anything too complicated. ​ But I'm building a larger tank and I want to do it really right this time, so I'm researching substrates. ​ So what happens when a substrate "breaks down"???
