RIP My fish. Lived 5 years with swim bladder issue. Posted: 16 Apr 2019 07:20 PM PDT I have 3 fish in my 10 gallon tank. Today, one of my fish sadly died. He had swim bladder issues from the start as far as i know. Im almost positive its a fancy goldfish but tbh i don't know what he was. Tap water smells astringent. Posted: 16 Apr 2019 02:49 PM PDT Hi! So, it's water change day on my 75 gallon. I usually do a 50% once per week. Well, since last night I have noticed that our tap water smells astringent. Like chlorine or maybe even something else. It's strong. ​ So, short of using my test kit to make sure it is not spiked with ammonia, is there anything else I should do to protect my fish? Just wait a few days? My fish have had a strict weekly schedule since I have had them. I use Safe, of course, but the pungent smell worries me.My changing gear is a python and aging water isn't really the first option i would like to take, as I have no real space to let the water age without a kid knocking it over, etc. ​ I'd love to know what you guys would do.
