They may not be the prettiest, but they're mine, and after spring cleaning they all look super happy!

My soggy doggo loves his new 75 gal home but has his own idea about where the eco-complete in the pots should go

Best (If any!) Fancy Goldfish Tankmates

Posted: 04 Apr 2019 07:49 PM PDT

I have a 160Gal/600L tank I'm converting to fresh water for goldfish as the marine is taking up too much time and stress. My family are happy with that but would like something to go alongside the goldfish? The tank has a chiller and 2 heaters, I'll be keeping it around 23 degrees which is what I've found to like for my fancies in the past (though I'm open to different temps if people think they'll do better). Some ideas I have are: Platies/mollies, rainbow fish?, large mountain clouds, larger tetras?? I would love glass cat fish but I don't think theyll be a suitable option. Every site I look at says different things. My favorite breed is pearlscales, and I won't have any common goldfish in the tank. It'll be bare bottom with stones and some plants. I'd love some personal experiences. I've kept goldies for many years and worked in the aquarium industry, but this has me a little stumped! Thanks for any ideas.

Goldfish tank cycle?

Posted: 04 Apr 2019 06:07 PM PDT

I started the cycling of my 37 gallon freshwater aquarium about 1.5 weeks ago. I started off with 4ppm ammonia and also added TSS on the second day. To this day i am still reading 0ppm Nitrites and 0 nitrates, 4ppm ammonia. I had my nitrites at like 0.25 for one day but they went back down and havent moved. Tank temp is 87F with air pump. Used some AceHardware 10% Ammonia. Anything wrong on my end?
