Aquatic Snails Egg shells for calcium? |
Posted: 26 Apr 2019 11:42 AM PDT I have few snails and many shrimps in my aquarium and I noticed that my snails have calcium deficiency but I also have hard water (gh 12ish, kh 8, ph 7,2) so I am looking for a solution which won't make my water even harder. So I found out that egg shells are a possible sulition but eggs always come with chicken poop on them (I live in Europe) which defenetly has bad thing in them (for my shrimp) and I'm not quite sure if cooking them will destroy everything. so I'm not sure if it's safe and now I'm not sure what to use uhg. halp [link] [comments] |
Do I need to quarantine nerite snails? Posted: 26 Apr 2019 06:42 PM PDT Just bought a nerite snail from PetSupermarket, meaning it was in the tank with many other fish. Do I need to keep him in a seperate container for a few days? Do they carry fish diseases? Was on the drive home when I had that thought and I realize I should have done more research before. I have a female betta and do not want her to become infected with any potential parasite/disease. [link] [comments] |
