Recommendations for high calorie, high protein and fat food for my Axolotl.

So... Wooper has gotten very skinny and hasn't put his weight back on after being Impacted. I'm worried he's starting to slowly waste away. I'm wondering if any of you guys you any foods that are nutritionally dense compared to Earthworms. I just want to reverse the what seems to be a nutrition deficit that he has even with feeding him two earthworms every other day, ( I could go everyday, he just seemed very uninterested eating. Didn't nip at me at all yesterday when I looked him over.)

A coworker of mine recommended repashie(Unsure of the spelling) meatpie. Thoughts?

I love his gills (Yoshi knows it’s feeding time. I just don’t think he knows the food is behind him)

Interested in getting an axolotyl!

Posted: 19 Mar 2019 08:17 PM PDT

Hi. I am interested in getting an axolotyl. However, I have been seeing conflicting information on the internet. Do they like to be alone or in pair? What is the min tank size? What is the healthiest diet? Water temp? Filtration? The only consistency seems to be tank set up. I also read that its better to get a stronger filter due to the tank getting dirty. Everything ive ready about community, food, habitat, etc. all seems to contradict. I'd lime to hear from an actual owner.

Any tips? Or a starter guide from an actual owner?

Small Axolotl big filter?

Posted: 19 Mar 2019 05:31 PM PDT

Hi! First time poster, long time lurker. Just got a baby dirty Lucy, and this one is so small! My main concern is I got it a big tank to grow into, which came with a filter, however I believe the axi could get sucked up! Does anyone have any remedies to block the filter? Or could I just not have it in there for a while? Would rather it in, any tips would help! Thanks in advance

Additional filtration for a 40B?

Posted: 19 Mar 2019 01:05 PM PDT

I have a 40B and one axolotl. I'm hoping to get another one, but that won't be for some time. I have an AC50, but I was wondering what additional filtration I should add to make sure it's well-filtered. I don't want a canister filter at the moment because they're a little out of my price/space range.
