Heron Eating Koi- What kind of hiding methods can I add in the pond for the fish? Posted: 22 Mar 2019 06:19 AM PDT We've got a Heron that has recently discovered our pond. We have a three-tier pond with goldfish on top, a narrow mid-level that has a waterfall into the large bottom pond (approx 8'x10' in size and 3ft deep). We have lilypads covering half the area and a milk crate with a concrete block on top to keep it from floating away. Our large goldfish and koi do not fit under the crate though (only the babies) and I'm trying to find some methods to provide a hiding space for them.
