Flourite allow fish poop to settle?

Posted: 07 Feb 2019 01:08 AM PST

Hi guys, I'm planning to have a dirted tank capped with flourite gravel. I heard that the poop will turn into nutrients which will go back into the soil. Does anyone have any experience using flourite? Does it allow waste to settle down like normal gravel would? Thanks

Planted Divided Betta Nanos

Posted: 07 Feb 2019 12:11 AM PST

I was at my LFS and they had a few really beautiful betta fish in small square tanks divided by a plastic divider. The shop owner is a very proud betta collector and showed me how the different fish posture when you take the divider away. It was really amazing.

Anyway, I was just wondering if people had created planted betta nano tanks before with dividers so that you could show off their posturing to people?

If it can be done well I think it would be a really engaging little thing to have on a benchtop.
