- Frog found a hiding place
- Does anyone know where I can get a tank like this? See them on Instagram all the time. Too small for fish IMO but would make a fantastic shrimp tank
- Making a jarrarium out from the scuzzy man made pond at my apartment. What is this little shrimpy looking guy?
- My miniature forest :)
- My 2-Liter Jars - Daphnia magna & pulex, Moina sp., saltwater Copepods, different Ostracod species - They all live on tap water, sun and the occasional (random) feeding.
- 2 gallon beverage dispenser with 5 chili rasboras and a breeding colony of neocaridina shrimp. After almost 2 years the shrimp have bred to strictly the wild form. (Very hard to cull in the jar) I have never trimmed the dwarf hair grass just taken it and other plants out. The fish/shrimp never moved
- half an hour ago I made this jar from a local river but honestly I wasn't expecting so much life in it! and now I'm a bit scared if the number of shrimps could make the ecosystem collapse. what do you guys think? honestly I like it a lot :D
- What is this white bubbly film on the surface of the water??
- Found the most perfect thing for a terrarium at an estate sale. It's my first one and I got overexcited to find a snail in my yard, but is this too small for it/not enough air? It's not airtight.
- Just saw a little isopod inside this mossarium
- If you know what this is, please let me know, cuz I haven't been able to find anything. It acts like tubifex with the head in the soil but has a tail like a shrimp...whaaa? Lake water, North Texas.
- I'm setting up my first jar. I have some lichen and terrestrial moss with a sandy loam substrate. What animals or adittional plant/ fungus would you reccomend for it and where can I get them?
- How much light do aquatic jars need? I’ve done a lake jar in the past but couldn’t keep it alive due to moving. I now go between homes, so is it okay do leave my jar in one place?
