Axolotl Plant Recommendations

I am finally getting out of Student housing again and will be setting up a tank for one of my axolotls that are with my parents. I am thinking between a 40 and a 75 for the man. This tank will have two months or so to mature and grow in before I bring him down, so I am going to heavily plant it and give it a customer DIY 3d background. So I am looking for plant recommendations. I have always had issues with plants in Axolotl tanks, but idk if that is the cold or them munching on them. Recommendations and thoughts?

Black marks spreading

My 2 year old golden albino Axolotl started getting a black mark along the bottom of his tail and then his feet have since got very dark and some has also come up along his belly? Does anyone know what this might be, if it's harmful or anything? he's had it for a little while now but doesn't seem to have any stress or anything come of it he's perfectly happy. Thought maybe it could just be colouration but not too sure since he's obviously albino. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My axolotl has something on his cloaca. His Cloaca also seems to be swollen, and the white stuff is sometimes just not there. Please someone help, idk what to do.
