These colours still blow my mind!
Is it normal for my little guy to change colour so drastically in the 3 months I've had him?
Brand new betta has white spots only on fins, none on body... Ich?

Taken a few years back with my first betta, Johnny Depths. He lived for almost 5 years and I have still never seen anything like it. Have any of you?? Also, ignore my commentary :D

Very happy betta mom here! Still new to all of this, and after about two months of living with Frank, I finally got my Ammonia and Nitrite where it needs to be! Now to do a water change to get the Nitrates back down and we're golden! Everyone's advice on here has been awesome and helpful!

Quick synopsis of caresheet:

Minimum tank size is 5 gallons (about 20 liters) for a regular sized betta, and 10 gallons (about 40 liters) for a king/giant betta
Bettas need an adjustable heater and a thermometer to ensure water temperature stays between 78-82°F or about 26-28°C
Bettas need a cycled tank- this requires a filter
Bettas need silk or live plants and hidey holes with no sharp edges.
Bettas have a special organ, the labyrinth organ, allowing them to breathe air. They require constant access to air at the top of the tank.
Bettas will jump- it is best to have a tank with a lid
