- Sick Koi - need advice, appears to have saprolegnia. How do I use malachite green? It has what appears to be long algae growing from her nose and on her back. This is a large community stream. It's been sitting on the bottom with very little movement for 2 weeks. Gave it one salt bath a week ago.

Posted: 16 Oct 2021 10:55 AM PDT Aargh. I replanted my pond plants last weekend, and as I was carefully lowering the last one into the pond, it slipped from my hands and landed hard, sending up a big cloud of soil. A week later, the pond is still super cloudy, presumably from dirt suspended in the water. I pulled the pump today and rinsed it out, it had a little silt and dirt in it, but not much; I pulled the filter media out of the waterfall and rinsed them; and did a small water change, about 10%. Is there anything else I can do to clear the water? [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 16 Oct 2021 08:12 AM PDT Hi All. I purchased a Thermotec Inverter heat pump in the Summer, and was looking to keep my pond heated throughout the winter. My question is - what temperature should I keep it heated to? I know certain parasites are active at different temperatures so I wondered if anyone had any advice/experience. Much appreciated thank you. [link] [comments] |
