- Hoping for some help identifying what kind of shrimp this girl is. I bought her from LFS about 2 months ago as a part of a group of 6 Amano. She was transparent when I got her, and the other 5 are still and have a different coloration. The tank is stocked with Amano shrimp and cherry shrimp.

Posted: 20 Jun 2021 03:02 AM PDT Hey guys! I really want to become a Shrimp hobbyist having shrimps as pets just for fun not to be a breeder or anything, but I'm very new to this, I have been doing research but would like to know what you guys would recommend to a beginner in this area! What sort of things would I need for the tank? Can I keep different coloured Neocarisina Davidis together? Please any advice on tanks or shrimp care etc would be appreciated! [link] [comments]

How to stop agressive feeding behavior? Posted: 20 Jun 2021 02:58 AM PDT Just got some new amano shrimp and blue dreams. The amanos can get quite agressive and even try to eat the eggs from one of my blue dreams, harassing her incessantly around dinner time. Had no such issues with the shrimp I had before. What can I do? [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Jun 2021 03:46 PM PDT Okay so, I have a pretty decent size colony of roughly 400 cherry shrimp so I was ready to share the love with other people. One of my coworkers has a large fishtank and I would say he was a advanced beginner since it sounded like he knew about the nitrogen cycle and acclimation, and he was super excited to see I was gonna get rid of some shrimp! I decided to sell him 50 for $20 to help get him started, and oh boy was that a bad idea Next day at work he tells me their all dead, and jokingly (but semi serious) said that I did it on purpose I asked about his set up and he put them in a quarantine tank, which would've been good if he had cycled it. So instead of putting them into the large established aquarium, he put them in a small tank of just tap water I feel unbelievably bad since I just 50 shrimp to their death. It's been pretty awkward talking to him now and I dont even know if I'll ever sell my shrimp again [link] [comments] |
