This LRO TAJ Mahal is looking extra crazy under blues. Rainbow Acans are some of my fave corals right now.

Just started a Reef Tank. First Fish Recommendations? (Begginer)

Posted: 03 Jun 2021 10:16 PM PDT

I just got my 36-gallon tank and have had it running with saltwater and sand for about a week now. I'm going to buy some live rock tomorrow as well as my first couple of fish. Any recommendations for this future reef tank. I want to get something that is hardy enough to survive but good for a future reef ecosystem. Thoughts?

Leptoseris help!

Posted: 03 Jun 2021 01:10 PM PDT

Wondering where I should place leptoseris, fluvel evo 13.5 tank with stock light, I have it placed lower in the tank on some rock about 4in off the sand, wondering if I should move it into a slightly shaded area? Have read a lot of people putting them in mainly shaded/indirect light areas. Thanks!

Live Rocks and Coral Being Transported

Posted: 03 Jun 2021 07:20 PM PDT

Hello everyone,

On the weekend, I'm getting a 13.5 Evo tank that's been used. It comes with 15lb live rock, and corals. I've been doing research and I'm just worried about whether what might happen on the process here. The previous owner hasn't really stated how he will transport it, but I assume he knows how to since his tank seemed well.

What I'm worried about is the transfer. There's going to be at least 1-3 hours until I can set everything up because of some last minute stuff that came up. My plan was to leave the live rock and corals in the fish tank while running things and letting it cycle until the levels are normal. I'm not that educated, but I'm trying my best to learn. Some people said that doing this can bring unwanted pests in the tank, which is what I'm most stressed about. Any tips? I won't be adding any fish at all until I know things are 100% safe. Thank you.
