I've been tossing excess macroalgae from my dwarf seahorse tank into this ~2.5g jar for the last two months or so. There's at least three seahorses lurking in there that arrived as accidental hitchhikers lol.

Planning on making a sealed terrestrial ecosystem in a jar, using materials and life sourced from the forest behind my house. Any tips for a higher chance of success and longevity?

Also are there any specific jars that you would recommend I could buy or use? I want it to be a decent size, maybe 2 liters or so
