I got somethin to say, I ate my wormies today and it doesn’t matter much to me as long as I’m fed! ~the Misfits-

I’ve had my axolotl for some time now in a tank I’m not quite happy with. I’m thinking of upgrading to a 40 gallon and getting her a friend, however, I want my cycle to go much better than it did, so can you tell me how you did your cycle so I can have better understanding of how to do it better?thx

I'm getting an axolotl soon and was wondering if anyone could recommend some ammonia to buy that can start cycling

Getting into axolotls. I don’t know much about caring for them, and have only owned cats.

I've been looking into getting one once I reorganize. I know it should be about a 20 gallon tank, but I was curious if anyone knew of a tank that could filter and keep the water cold for them. I'm also curious if I can feed them cat food or what to put on the bottom of the tank. I leave a lot on the weekends in the summer and idk if I should hire someone to feed them or if they will be fine. I've looked up most of these things but there very uncertain, so I was just wanting advice from some actual owners.

Axolotl questions

Going to be a new axo owner

What am I getting myself into? This is for my 14yo son, I have some questions.... We set a 29 gallon tank up yesterday with a typical fish tank pump & filter. Added the water drops, will test tomorrow. The shop we'll be getting the axo from said no sand or pebbles but can we do large rocks? Anything special we need to do to clean the rocks? These are just rocks my kids have collected over the years and have been all over the house. Live plants? Fake plants? He wants a sunken ship decoration for the tank. Is that ok? Anything else?
