Flakey skin?

So I have three axolotls ina 4ft tank and my oldest has started showing flakey looking stuff that looks like skin that comes off when You wipe it, is this normal and just more noticeable because he is black? I thought I might be fungus but it's only on the sides of his body and none on gills that were recently bitten

Axolotl Ingested a Shell.

Hi friends.

My axolotl has eaten a small shell and it cannot pass. I can see the shell / poop attempting to come out of him but it's just stuck. He hasn't eaten in 4 days at this point, I've tried to fridge him, frequent water changes & keeping his environment dark.

He won't eat & I think it might be time to euthanize him. Has anyone used clove oil to euthanize? Does anyone have any success stories where their axolotl passed a shell? I feel so incredibly guilty.
