Is my mystery snail okay?

Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong with my mystery snail? She's been lethargic for a few days & I just noticed her foot looks odd. She isn't using all of it to move & it looks like there's small light colored patches on it? She's 6m old. She eats algae wafers, green beans, and red peppers.

How (long) to quarantine Japanese trapdoor snails before adding to established tank/pond

Hello all, I've scoured the web and info on this topic seems to be sparse.

Picked up a couple of Japanese trapdoor snails from my LFS yesterday and am concerned about safely adding them to my established cold water tank.

What is the proper quarantine time and if so, how should they be treated prophylactically?

Any insight and info appreciated...thanks!

How hard is it to hurt a snail that’s suctioned to glass?

Posted: 02 Jun 2021 02:29 PM PDT

I've had to move my snail a few times, mainly to show him where his food is and he's like a little suction cup and I'm terrified I'm gonna hurt his foot or trapdoor. I'm as gentle as I can possibly be, but he just does not let go, and he eats as soon as he recognizes food, but otherwise it just spikes my ammonia, so I've had to show him a few times where the food was. Today I tried to get him loose and ended up (very gently but he's tiny so it doesn't take much) dragging him across the glass until he let go. He's very much out, about, and active afterwards and he ate a turtle pellet like a ravenous little dude. Just over cautious about it I'm sure.

Safe parameters for a snail?

I have a mystery snail (had for about three months) currently in a 2.5g tank. I'm setting up a 5g tank to give him more room. I set up the tank about four days ago, using filter media from the previous tank, and have been adding Stability to the water. I've used both tap water treated with Prime, and RO water (going to get more of that today). I have various plants and a sand substrate with root tabs.

A little while ago I tested the water. Results were: pH=7.6, HRpH=7.4, KH=5, GH=12, ammonia 0.25ppm, nitrites .5ppm and nitrites 10ppm. That'll probably change a little when I do a partial water change with RO water later. Last night I did an almost total water change as I was switching up the plants, etc., in the tank, so had to use tap water.

I know snails are hardy little guys, but I don't want to stress mine. I've had people say I can put the snail in any time, or to wait, etc. I'm of course anxious to put him in his new tank, but can be patient.
