I have a tub i keep outside in the shade, that started to grow moss over the floating plants, i left it there for a couple months and its completely covered the surface of thr water.

Otocinclus Catfish are so helpful. My Amazon Swords used to be covered in brown leaves but now there is barley any left after having 2 Otos for just three days. I will be getting more when my fish store restocks on them.

I've kept fish for 25yrs and currently have 6 high tech planted tanks full of mutt guppies. My dad mentioned he might like to have a tank so I got them a Fluval Flex 15, planted it up, and added a scoop of guppies. I thought my dad would be the one to enjoy most it but my mom LOVES it. She has dementia and finding things that interest her but don't frustrate her can be a challenge. I keep catching her just siting and staring into the tank. She really loves the watching the baby guppies in particular. It seems to calm her. Just wanted to spread the word that aquariums can be a wonderful for seniors. Never to old to become a fish nerd:)
