Lost our fierce girl Nessie today. Will miss her watching me while I study and demanding bloodsacrifice (or pellets) whenever we walked into the room. I thought about getting her some of her favourite live blackworms on the way home from work today, but didn't. Wish I had.

My Freddy, who has been with me since late December of 2020, got himself stuck in a piece of driftwood and didn't make it. I was doubting he would get himself stuck because it's been months with that small opening in the wood and he has never been interested in it. When I came to check on him today his tail was sticking out of the wood. I frantically took the wood out and tried to get him out. When I did, he was already gone. So, please, take others advice when it's still useful, and block off any entrances a fish could get stuck in even if it seems unlikely.
