My shrimps are dying one by one and this is a new generation which hatched few months back in my tank

In December 2020 I had bought 6 shrimps but 4 couldn't make it I guess I did some acclimation mistake since I was very new to this ....but after a while the remaining two of shrimps (luckily male and a female) gave birth to more shrimps ...I couldn't see them for a long time (approx 2 months) until I saw some of the babies walking on plant leaves (purely amazing experience) and now they were growing normally (moulting and reproduction) but since last three days I have got a couple of deaths. I have a pair of guppies and their babies (in my defence, I have healthy plant cover for them to hide and I've never seen any of my guppy attacking them). I perform 30-40% water change weekly. This type of dying is confusing and I'm worried about the ones alive ...do u have any suggestions what can be done in this situation?

Zombie shrimp in mason jar?

Posted: 28 Mar 2021 10:31 PM PDT

Hi everyone, I have a bit of an emergency. Long story short, I bought 2 neocaridina shrimp days ago and added them to my filtered and heavily planted 3 gallon. They were fine until the next morning when I woke up to twitching shrimp who stopped moving not long after. I even moved them around and they weren't responding.

Now this is where it gets weird...I put them in a styrofoam cup and forgot to bury them so they sat there for a few days. Now I just went to toss out the styrofoam cup/bury them, and guess what? Shrimp are alive and well, but here's my panic. I have no extra tanks. My 3 gallon is unavailable because I just realized there's planaria in there and I just started dosing stuff to get rid of them. My 5 and 75 gallon have fish that will eat them. The only thing I have is a mason jar full of aquatic plants. Will they be okay in there for a short amount of time? Also, how are they even alive? I've heard that they could be hardy, but I'm so confused. I honestly thought they were dead...

This berried shrimp greeted me yesterday - there are now two. Looking forward to a shrimplet boom as it'll be the first in this tank
