I set up a planted tank in January and waited until it fully cycled and the plants established before getting shrimp. I had a bit of an algae bloom recently but otherwise everything else was stable, so I decided to ahead and pull the trigger and get some cull shrimp on sale.

After a day and a half, they've cleaned up most of the algae in the tank, so I'm going to start feeding them things like blanched spinach and squash, and some Shrimp Cuisine every few days.
