Posted: 28 Feb 2021 11:05 PM PST I have four goldfish in a 25g what tank size should I upgrade to? [link] [comments]
Help: Common Goldie Tank Set Up Posted: 28 Feb 2021 07:02 PM PST So I want to upgrade my goldfish to a larger tank, I'm thinking at least 29 gallons. I would be willing to go 55 gallons, but would my little guy be happier with having friends (other goldfish, no more than 2) in the tank? Or would he be better off solo? Also if anyone has full tank set recommendations please send them my way!! I would love a more elongated tank but I'm not sure where to find that. Help is much appreciated!! [link] [comments]
Goldfish sick with white slimy substance on it. Posted: 28 Feb 2021 12:52 PM PST So yesterday there was a party in my mom's house and I was gone in Manhattan doing errands etc... and I come home to a party and family eating and my fish seemed fine and healthy no signs of stress because they were all swimming and moving around. I then again leave and come back in the morning to find my black moor dead, and 2 other small comets with slimy white fungus looking slime on it. The black moor had mucus like white clumps coming out the gills and foam all over its body. My little brother informed me that some of my family members were putting food on top of the fish tank cover. I'm also going to assume they put beer bottles on top. The top of my water is foamy, smells like peanuts and peanut butter. I've added fungal solution in the tank. They were perfectly healthy yesterday morning. Someone please help. I inspected the black moor gills and everything. Gills looked fine. No injuries at all and there was also foam around its gills and mouth. I've had my fish for 4 months before this happened. UPDATE: the fish who was also severely damaged has passed. [link] [comments]

Will this tank be good for goldfish? Posted: 28 Feb 2021 03:16 PM PST I recently got a new tank and am looking into keeping goldfish and was wondering if this tank is good enough for them (48.5 in W x 12.75 in D x 25 in H). And if so how many would you recommend for this tank. Im going to be running a marineland 360 canister filter. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
I was recommended a BiOrb air stone, how do I fit this in a normal filter? Posted: 28 Feb 2021 03:11 PM PST Hi guys! I went to go get an air stone and was given the BiOrb one, as I'm a rookie. I have a filter attached to the top of my tank, but how do I actually put this in the filter? Everytime I google, I find instructions on placing it in a BiOrb tank but I don't have one of those [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Feb 2021 03:05 PM PST I won a fair fish for my daughter. Then named him wish and here we are 6 years later. Wish has gone through snow storm power outages and even tornadoes that threw trees into our dinning room flipping the table up against his tank. Finally got a brand new set up and transferred Wish & Kitty ( our kitty kitty catfish RIP 2 days after the move) then added some shrimp & snails along with new fish friends. They all died. I really do not get what is wrong. Did everything by the book. I do not want to lose Wish....he thinks he is people. Plus I'm tired of loss. [link] [comments]
Question regarding Stress Coat+ and Amquel! Posted: 28 Feb 2021 01:43 PM PST I have a 55 gallon tank with three Ranchu in it between 3-4 inches. I've always used Stress Coat+ as well as Kordon's Fish protector when doing water changes for well near a year now. I had heard good things regarding Kordon's Amquel, I believe I have the Amquel version that isn't the + version if you will, and it seems to keep chlorine as well as make ammonia non-toxic. Should I stick with what I've been using with stress coat and Kordon's Fish protector, or should I also add in a dose of Amquel to help with the ammonia too for every water change? Seems like Stress Coat+ doesn't do anything with ammonia? I may be overthinking it, but I'd at least like some opinions! Any are welcome! [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Feb 2021 10:52 AM PST I have an Oranda goldfish who's been experiencing strange symptoms lately. He started out by having a cloudy looking tail. His tail used to be see through white but now it's turned a milky white. We thought it was fin rot at first, so we medicated him with API fin and body cure. This morning we now notice white dots all over his tail and gills, but nothing on his body. He sometimes swims erratically and gulps air at the surface. We've been tested the ammonia and have been using ammo lock while we've brought ammonia levels back to a safe zone. Any ideas of what this could be? Possibly ich but why wouldn't it also be on his body? Should we stop treating him with fin and body cure? Any input helps thanks! [link] [comments] |
