• I never knew axolotls existed until I started learning how to crochet. I hope you guys like my plushie!
• Update: he looks to be morphing, and it’s most likely genetic. I set him up in a tub with a ramp so he can safely start the process
• My sister’s (very) late Christmas present to me is an axolotl plushy!

• My axolotl has lots of algae in his tank and I can’t figure out where it’s coming from. Everything else in his tank is fine and he’s healthy. But there’s so much algae. And when ever I clean it more shows up. I clean his tank every week and I even got a second filter too help but it won’t go away.
• Is Fluval Stratum a safe substrate for my ‘lotl?
• good alternatives to a bare bottom tank?

Posted: 08 Mar 2021 09:04 PM PST i know gravel is very bad for them because they have 2 brain cells and will eat it. i'm wary of sand because i've seen a lot go wrong with it. i'd heard that they make rippled mats for aquariums so that the axolotls have something to grip onto, but i can't seem to find anything like that. any ideas? submitted by /u/lemxnghxst [link] [comments]
