Mystery snail vs bladder snail? Posted: 03 Mar 2021 07:08 PM PST I just watched my mystery snail literally sucking a bladder snail out of its shell! Now the empty shell is all that's left behind. Do you think it was already dead? So disturbing! :0 [link] [comments]

Are snails not reasonable for me to keep? Posted: 03 Mar 2021 11:56 AM PST I'm pretty conflicted. I plants in my tank, so very little visible algae. Water conditions are good. Everything should be healthy for a snail. I had a nerite 3 weeks ago, but he died. I tried feeding algae wafers and carrots, he wouldn't go near them and I removed them after 2 days. I live in a dorm room, so access to blanched veggies (or veggies in general they may enjoy, like cucumber) aren't really an option. I'd love to have one or even two snails, but I don't want to get them only to starve the little guys. I don't know if my betta attacked the first one, or if he died from something else, but he receded super far into his shell and started to smell. Do they get enough food from whatever they find on the tank (algae that I can't see?) or what's on the ground, or would I need to supplement with other foods? I would love to have one, but again I won't if they're going to starve... [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Mar 2021 11:20 AM PST I have a heated and filtered, 1.5 gallon cube water garden. I was wondering if I could home any snails inside or if shrimp were my only option? It does have a lid to prevent escapes! [link] [comments]
