My Pagoda Snail, Colonel Mustard, had a baby today! I had no idea it was a female. I was so scared when I saw her body all bloated up. I had to raise the tank temp to 82 yesterday and I was afraid I had hurt it. Nope, proud mama with a baby a few inches above her head! I'm thrilled!

Post-surgery. Hopefully she’ll pull through. Clearly there had been insufficient calcium in her tank at the LFS, poor girl.

How can I help this mystery snail? Bought because he appeared to be in poor health at Petsmart.

Lazy nerite?

I just got a red racer nerite, real little guy, probably about 1/2 inch long. I put him in my planted 5 gallon tank with a couple mystery snails. The first day or so after I got him, he was fairly active, moving around and exploring, but the last couple days he's been just sitting around... I thought he might have been having trouble getting around on my substrate, since he's so small and my gravel is pretty big, so I moved him up against the glass. He stuck on, and he's still stuck on, but he's just been sitting there in the same spot for the past 24 hours or so. I thought maybe he was hungry, since my tank is pretty clean, so I put a bit of algea wafer right next to him, but he didn't seem interested. Is there something wrong with him, or are nerites just less active than my mysteries? Should I try something different for food? I'm fairly new to aquatic snails, and aquariums in general, so any help is appreciated!

Please help me identify these snails

http://imgur.com/gallery/ftOOK4f Got 3 of these, LFS was selling as "Sphinx Snails." Are they just a striped variety of Mystery Snail? I've had them for about a week and I'm noticing now some of my new growth on my plants has some bites out of them. Today I was watching and it looked like they may have been munching on the leaves, but there's also algae on most of my leaves due to brand new tank right next to a window that get direct morning sun for a few hours. Should I find a home for them where they can munch on all the plants they want?

Mystery snail is still alive even with a chunk of shell missing. Is it possible to save the little dude? He’s in a tank all alone now to make sure the other snails don’t climb on him because it seems like his shell is super fragile. (Bought him two days ago)

Posted: 12 Mar 2021 04:21 PM PST

I want lots of algae in my tanks for my snails to feed on is it ok to leave my lights on 24/7 or do snails need the dark to sleep? This is a snail only tank.
