- All the bettas were dead or acting really sick at the petstore in my town. I decided that since i had an empty tank cycling that I would see if i could save this guy, and after a week of it being iffy, he's finally out exploring and acting friendly. The kids named him Zim.

- Amaryllis's 4 week foster/transformation! ☺️ He went to his new home this week leaving me room for my next rescue!
- 1 week transformation/mutation. We named him Kenzo. ��

- Just wanted to show off Jeffrey’s color change! Is this normal? I had no idea bettas could change color except color loss when they were sick/old, but from what I researched this means he’s happy, yes?
- Got my second betta today. Would I be lying if I said he is handsome?
- This sub inspired me to upgrade from a tiny cube to a 5.5gal planted and filtered tank. Sargent Pepper seems very content!
- Progress on my very first tank. The plants have been added now which will hopefully make it a little betta paradise. Fingers crossed they don’t all die on me!
- After loosing my last boy, decided to get Nebula! Pictures do no justice.
- 1 month fin regrowth and weight management progress on my two rescue bettas!
- This is Galaxy Vibes. He's a lazy boy that likes to hide.

- Every time I go near the tank, my cat starts to complain (or maybe she's begging for sushi lol).

| No they don't need just a bowl Posted: 28 Feb 2021 05:24 AM PST I went to the pet store to get some fancy fixin's for my cat and rabbit and my fiance is just oggling the sad little Betta fish. I tell him "no I don't have time or money for a new pet. And we don't have space for a five or ten gallon tank. AND the circuit breaker can't handle the heater so no fishie today" Well that lovely pet store employee said "oh they're so easy. They can just go in a bowl". I looked at him and said "who trained you? Because when I worked for this chain, albeit in a different state, we did not encourage fish prison for any Betta". Got my fancy kitty food and left. I know sorority tanks are a possibility, but I personally just love the large flowing fins of the males so much, can you imagine having a tank filled with a bunch of them?
