Mama shrimp and baby shrimp!

Today I setup a bed-side pond for 3 fire red shrimp. Background plants need to grow in, and the hair grass needs a trim, but I’m happy with it so far! (excuse the bio-ball, a nano HOB is coming tomorrow)

Can I put amano and cherry shrimp together?

Posted: 15 Nov 2020 01:48 AM PST

I have a roughly 8 gallon tank with 2 amanos in it currently. I was initially going to add 2 more amanos into it but then thought about adding red cherry or blue velvet shrimp. Would there be any issues or unhappiness if I did 2 amanos with maybe 4-5 cherries or blue velvet?

Do I need "fresh blood" for a small shrimp population?

Posted: 14 Nov 2020 09:08 PM PST

My red cherry shrimps family start from only 7, several times it grew up to 20+ but collapsed several times because of my mistakes. Now I have 8 shrimps - 50/50 males and females. Do I need to get new ones to keep healthy population or it just ok for them?
