Is this shell rot and what can I do to help him?
My crayfish is the only thing in the tank besides Guppies. did she self impregnate?
Could someone please tell me what these small black parasites are? There’s suddenly hundreds of them that have infested my aquarium.

I'm new to keeping crayfish. And I've had my little guy for about 4months. Hes active. And dosent bother any of his tank mates ( 6 random tetras and 1 shrimp 2 assassin snail). His current set up is 10gallons tank. Gravel substrates 1 live plant He eats fish flakes (I watch him eat at every feeding) Water filter for tank flow... And a few random hides. He doesn't use much( I bought more that will be here sunday) My question is in the long term are their any needs of his that I'm neglecting?

Ph regular, ammonia 0, no nitrites, nitrate good— he had plenty of hiding spots to molt and was spotted in cave acting "normal" shortly after molting, then found dead an hour later... his head had a yellow tint although he was completely white/translucent... had been acclimated in our tank for 12 days when this happened.

Sad...

Thoughts? Are some post-molting deaths just not preventable?
