- So, I just found out that the official art book for Shin Godzilla actually gives us a closer look at younger form of Shin Godzilla, which is described as such: yellow in coloration, tadpole-like dorsal fin/tail, tiny limbs, and a frog-like head with gills on either side. That's literally my Axolotl.
- Are my Axolotl’s gill ok? They seem a bit disheveled compared to most pictures I see, and there is a small red spot on one side. The gills do seem to be growing and the spot hasn’t gotten larger. Tank parameters are good but there was a small nitrite spike a few days ago <.25 ppm.(Tank is cycled)
- I have a question? Are stones this big ok? Or will I need to change them as they grow. Because in the shop they said that axolotls will swirl the sand and filter might have problems with it so they recommended these stones.
- Axolotl White Patches?? Help!

- Dropped cycled tank. Axie wasn’t in tank when dropped, fortunately. Advice?
- Sorry for all of the pictures, but just got my first Axolotls yesterday! Meet Ziggy and Stardust!
- So all my babies ( in different tanks too) wont eat their nightcrawlers i cut up for them. Water parameters are normal. 65 degree in one tank ans the girls is 66
- Happy moment

Dropped cycled tank. Axie wasn’t in tank when dropped, fortunately. Advice? Posted: 20 Nov 2020 04:51 AM PST Hi. I'm a college student, which means that I haul my axolotl back and forth between my dorm and my room when it's winter/summer break. I just dropped my cycled tank and it shattered all over my bathroom floor. I'm getting a new tank, but any advice as to what i should do in regards to cycling?? I normally empty all the water out before I leave, but I feel like this just crashes the cycle. Any advice? [link] [comments]

Posted: 19 Nov 2020 01:16 PM PST I just want to share a little happy moment I had with one of my Axolotls with people who might get my excitement! So all of my Axolotls are hand fed, it started because two of them wouldn't eat otherwise, worms and pellets. So I feed a few pellets with their worms sometimes, to keep a variety in their diet and I trained them to take the pellets from in between my thumb and index finger(because they won't take it otherwise, even if I drop it on their heads they will just leave it) well today! Today I got one of them to climb into my hand and take it!! He climbed into the middle of my hand, and sat there before eating the pellet, it was very cute! [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Nov 2020 01:01 AM PST So ive been doing tonnes of research and im really thankful of everyones help but i still have one concern and thats being able to cool it efficiently and ive seen some chillers online but there all so expensive and i really dont have the money so is there any other ways to cool it down to a suitable temperature effectivly that wont affect the tank badly [link] [comments]
Upgrading tank, how to safely switch? Posted: 19 Nov 2020 04:01 PM PST Hi guys I've gotten my axie a new tank, 40 gallons, good upgrade from his 20 gallon he's lived in up till now. Thing is, I don't know how to safely switch him to this new tank. I know the filter has the good bacteria needed and so does the substrate. So I'll be putting both of them into the new tank. But apart from that, I'm not sure what else to do. I could move his filter to the new tank and run it for a while but I don't have a spare filter to run his current tank. Im worried about a cycle crash. Literally any advice will be so so appreciated. Thank you! [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Nov 2020 04:17 PM PST im in the proccess of setting up an axolotl tank, and the water is already in, bacteria is processing ammonia at a decent but not optimal rate, and i realize something. these guys need substrate. what should i do? sand seems to need to be added before water, and gravel wont work. should i go bare bottom? money is not too much of a problem, as i have probably like 50$ that could go to substrate instead of flaming hot cheeto fries. im wondering if maybe theres an artificial solution, some sort of plastic i could cut to size, or a type of stone/metal that i can get custom cut for the bottom. my breeder has wild morph axolotls, so im looking for something to contrast his dark gray skin.
