| Did my mystery snail kill my other mystery snail? Posted: 14 Nov 2020 03:13 PM PST One was a tad bit smaller than the other. Wilbur is bigger and Nix is smaller. For weeks, wilbur has been crawling over nix and hanging out on it's shell. I thought they were mating. Then I realized that maybe it's just enjoying a ride on nix. Now nix is dead. Nix was hanging out of its shell and the antenna were wiggly waggly and shriveled. Not being controlled...just flowing with the water. Wilbur was, again, on top of nix. I took them both out of the water for a minute to evaluate. Nix definitely dead while wilbur crawled back into his shell. I know wilbur was scavenging but in the weeks leading up to this is it possible he was sucking nutrients from nix the entire time resulting in his death? [link] [comments] | ||
