- HELP! My mystery snail is missing half of its foot. The second photo shows it next to a normal snail. Will it’s foot grow back? Can I help it? It just started moving around again today after staying still for two weeks. It still eats and is active. I’m not sure what to do!

| Posted: 11 Nov 2020 03:41 AM PST My Malaysian trumpet snails don't seem to be interested in any foods I give them. I've tried green beans and cucumber and they aren't showing any interest. I'm concerned because I don't know what they are eating to survive because there's no algae in the tank either. I want my snails to reproduce so I can put them in my large tank but so far there's nothing. Can anyone help? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Need more info than I can find Posted: 10 Nov 2020 05:30 PM PST I was gifted 10gold, 1 pearl mystery snails (varying age and sizes). They are currently in a 5gal temporary home. They all have shell issues that I'm trying to help. Obviously it's a calcium issue. These snails are gorgeous and I'm in love already I have been researching for 2 days solid. What is the best thing I can use to help replenish them so maybe the shells will heal or at least harden. I currently have a wonder shell that's all the local aquarium store could recommend. I eventually will be spreading some of them out into my 30gal and beta tank, and some will remain in the 5gal. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 10 Nov 2020 04:57 PM PST Introduced two mystery snails today to my new tank and found this guy on the glass! I assume its a pest so I moved it quickly to my temp tank. Is this guy dangerous to the ecosystem im trying to build or is it a 2 for 1 deal? Thanks for your help! One of my snails would not do anything so I thought it was dead. | Posted: 10 Nov 2020 04:53 PM PST I've been doing some renovations to a tank and I had to move some of the substrate. I have 4 nerite snails. I cant seem to find two of them. The substrate is a really light and lose gravel about 2 inches deep. They have partially buried themselves before. I cannot seem to find them having shifted the substrate with aquarium tools. | Caring for Snails when away for long Posted: 10 Nov 2020 12:58 PM PST First of all, so glad I found this sub! I love snails and have a nice fatty mystery boy in a 10 gallon tank, with plenty of plants and a small fellow nerite. I've had them for about two months now, and they seem very healthy. I need to travel out of state soon, and possibly for 2-3 months, how do I take care of them? It's my first time keeping an aquarium and I'm open to any advice. I'm open to taking them along on a road trip too, but I've kept that as last resort. Any advice is much appreciated! [link] [comments]  |
