Aquatic Snails I give this Uber five stars

I give this Uber five stars

Please try to ignore the hideous water stain on the glass. I'm in the middle of doing a water change. I just realized that one of my Mystery Snails is probably the size of a golf ball and it's antennae are longer than its entire body! I can't stop staring.

Is there such thing as micro ramshorns?

Posted: 20 Nov 2020 10:10 PM PST

My tank is exactly the same as it was in March, no new species, no new plants, not even new food, yet somehow now into November I still have ramshorn snails but no adults, not just no adults, but nothing even remotely close to even the size of a lentil bean.

So I assume what you would, that I'm missing a hidden snail somewhere, but I've looked. I have dozens of pond snails, but 3 months of intense looking I have not seen an adult. Those ones I do see are 2-3mm in size and shouldn't be laying eggs at that size.

So now I'm wondering if maybe micro ramshorns are a thing?

Malaysian trumpet snails

Can these stay in a betta cup with lid while they reproduce? Do they need a filter? I know they prefer warm temperatures. I don't find them a nuisance and would like to breed them. Any tips would be appreciated.

Snail eating biomedia?

Posted: 20 Nov 2020 11:14 AM PST

I purchased a couple mystery snails a few months ago and today noticed one has crawled all the way up to the filter and is seemingly munching on the biomedia sponge. Is this normal or is this due to a nutrient deficiency in diet? Thanks!
