It’s hard to get a good picture of this male Hi Utsuri with the black background. He got a few shimi ( black freckles ). Besides the shimi, what do you think about the overall quality? and Utsuri pattern? Rate him on a 0-10 and don’t hold back. He currently measures 28” 3 years old

Has anyone here ever bought a koi from a retail store (small or large) and had it develop into a really impressive fish.

I realize it's not going to be a champion lol but I'm interested in seeing what has come of your inexpensive koi.
