Should I do water changes while medicating?

My black moor developed what appears to be a fungal infection. He's doing a lot of bottom sitting and has labored breathing so I went ahead and used Seachem Kanaplex. I turned the filter off so the carbon wouldn't filter it out. Should I do water changes while medicating him or should I wait until it's done (about a week)?

I have two common goldfish, male. I want to give them the best possible life. I've read through the wiki. Would appreciate your feedback to ensure I'm on the right track.

  • Tank: 75 - 105 gal (Would the 75 gal be okay?)
  • Filter: 750 - 1050 gal/hour
  • Sand: Black Diamond Blasting Sand (Is this okay)
  • Decorations: Some fake plants
  • Lighting: Natural lighting (non-direct)
  • Food: Would this or this be better?
  • Heater: 300watt (The room they're in gets very cold. What is the ideal temperature for goldfish?)
  • Air Pump: I currently have a wall tube one (Are they okay for goldfish?)

Am I missing anything?

Fish Misbehaving

One of my goldfish began acting aggressive all of the sudden. He's been living with his tank-mates for years and only up until 2 days ago did he begin acting up. Especially towards one of my sick fish. The fish is constipated and has trouble digesting so he tends to spend a lot of time slimming the water from swim bladder. I'm feeding him peas and he's coming along well. I took out the aggressive fish immediately after I saw him trying to bite at the suck fish's eyes. I'm afraid to return him back to the tank. Is isolation effective or permanent separation necessary?

Bubbles appeared on pearl scale when I woke up this morning, I had to leave so I couldn’t do a water change or check the water. He shares a tank with a fantail goldfish that is completely healthy in a 20 gallon tank. Is there anything I can do?
