Today Freddie dread, has decided that this specific rock he has been moving around with him will no longer do. He must make more time for his work

Cray escaped...

...and presumably was beat up by both of my cats, which were in the room with him for unknown amounts of time. He was in his tank midday on a dresser, I checked him like half an hour ago early evening and he wasn't there. Looked around the area after tearing up the tank, and found him under the bed on the other side of the room on his back, covered in dust, with all his legs waving in the air. He actually started crawling towards me once I got him flipped over, bless his lil lobster self.

Anyway, miraculously he seems to be in one piece with no limbs or claws missing. One antenna is a little bent, but what worries me is that he's holding his tail curled in and seems to have a some amount of damage on the underside of him. I don't know to what extent, I didn't see innards, it just looked like part of him was hurt/torn on the area where the tail joins the body.

Is there anything I can do to help him (besides escape proofing his tank) healing-wise or in any other way? I feel terrible that this happened at all; I've had no issues with him in that tank for over a year now, but I took his favorite hide away yesterday since it's getting too small for him and I was worried he'd get stuck and I guess he went on strike because of it.

I have some cuttlebone to put in the tank for some extra calcium for him to heal with, which I plan on doing.

So I have a crawfish that has gotten out twice now. The first time I found him on the floor and put him back in. This time it is 3 am and I cannot find him. What do I do?
