• Meet Bloody Sozin! I named him Sozin but my 4 year old insisted he should be named Bloody and I thought the compromise was fitting

• I wanted to show of Henry's recovery too
• Swim away, dear Predator (aka Preddy). I paid way too much to rescue him, but he may have already been sick/old. At least for 1 week, he has his own tank, planets, and decorations. ��

• Azura loves his new tank! Who knew good lighting could reveal more colors in your beta!!!
• My first female betta, just as fiesty as the boys!

Click this link to view our CARESHEET Quick synopsis of caresheet: Minimum tank size is 5 gallons (about 20 liters) for a regular sized betta, and 10 gallons (about 40 liters) for a king/giant betta Bettas need an adjustable heater and a thermometer to ensure water temperature stays between 78-82°F or about 26-28°C Bettas need a cycled tank- this requires a filter Bettas need silk or live plants and hidey holes with no sharp edges. Bettas have a special organ, the labyrinth organ, allowing them to breathe air. They require constant access to air at the top of the tank. Betta jumped out of tank, dried up but still alive! Posted: 05 Oct 2020 02:51 AM PDT My poor betta managed to jump out of tank, through a small gap in the lid and land on the sofa. I have no idea how long he was there as it happened overnight. I picked him up expecting him to be dead, he was dry and crispy. To my surprise he started flapping around. I placed him back in his tank and he starting swimming. This happened yesterday morning, he is still alive but looks truly terrible. Has anyone had this happen and their betta survive long term?
