| Posted: 20 Oct 2020 03:01 PM PDT hey! As of right now I don't have the full story as my partner is on his way to go pick up our friend's axolotl who isn't doing so well, she doesn't have the time to take care of him right now/doesn't know how to help so we are going to try to help him as i'm home all day and have the time! the basic gist is this; he was on and off again eating for a while and was floating/not doing great and she though maybe he was needing to poop real bad- he pooped but still wasn't doing great. we discussed me picking him up to try to help see if i can do anything for him but later that day he died, allegedly lol, he was all tiny and shrivelled up apparently. she ended up leaving him in the tank for less than or about a week post-his ""death"" and he came back to life- i can't find anything about this online and have no idea what this could mean so he comes back to life and is full of life swimming around not sickly looking eating all in all looking like he was going to be okay but today apparently he had a film/fuzz over him and she is at a loss so we are on our way to pick him up for some TLC i know nothing about his current water parameters but everything seemed okay. has anyone dealt with this stuff/have any advice on what my first steps should be for him when we get him (minus the tubbing him of course) i know putting them in the fridge is usually a life/death situation but this seems like it could be a situation like that? any advice? i can update when we have him and upload pictures too [link] [comments] | ||
