Do we like snail glow ups here? My Nerite wasn't in the best shape when he got to me. He had a super soft shell (felt like an over-cooked pea when I first picked him up) and very faint markings. Now look at him 3 days later I can see his cool art!

I just walked in on My little Joshua laying eggs!! I have never had a clutch before so I'm surprised I walked in on it! I have a few questions as to what to do to keep them safe

I have neon tetras and Cory catfish in with them. Will either eat the babies if I leave the clutch to hatch in the tank?

If I set up a separate tank for them to grow up in, what is the best substrate for mystery snails?

How to snail-proof a hang-on-back filter

I'm looking to get my first ever aquatic snail (was gonna go with a mystery snail) and want to know how to make sure the HOB I have on my tank filter won't be an issue. I already know about stories where they get their heads stuck in the intake tube, so I went ahead and bought a pre-filter sponge to keep that safe, but there's a gap around the lid of the aquarium where the filter goes and I don't want it crawling up around that since I know mystery snails sometimes like to leave the water. How can I seal up this gap? Should I buy a new plastic piece for my glass canopy and trace the filter more carefully somehow? Or can I add something to my existing setup to seal it?
