This is my brothers crayfish. We were told it was an electric blue but we wonder now if it is a marbled. Thoughts? It has recently developed this red spot on its back. Any thoughts about what this might be?

So I just joined this board, some very basic questions if you wouldn’t mind. What is the usual tank size you guys are using. I think I want a tank and canister, but I’ve seen the all in ones(nano’s). A 30gal with canister seems like a good choice....moar in comments

Sorry for the shoddy photo. Is this a female?

Sorry for bad quality but can anybody advise me on what my crayfish is doing? It’s also been curling it’s tail under a lot too.

Anyone have a gravel vacuum that they've been using that they'd recommend?

My Guy Poseidon

So I have this Virile crayfish I found in my local brook. I put him in with the other Virile I had and they were getting along great at first. Next thing you know I wake up the next day to find that the new one had eaten the other one. I don't know why there was such a drastic change in behavior between them. They had both been checking each other out with their antennae and they were literally sitting right next to one another. Then I wake up to the other one dead.

Can dwarf crayfish and dwarf frogs live together peacefully?

I know it's probably no but after only hearing about how it's not ideal for regular crayfish to be with them I got curious about if dwarf Crays could. Thanks.
