This is my son, Egg.He seems to be doing well in his new tank, which I put a picture of too (ignore the lid, my mom broke the original one I had on so now we have this disaster to make sure that he doesn’t get out lol)

Crayfish help/advice wanted

Im new to posting here and looking for any advice i can get for this problem. I have two orange dwarf crayfish (male/female pair). Water conditions are good and they have sucessfully molted multiple times since ive owned them. After the male's most recent molt i thought he had lost a leg but after looking closer it is stuck under his shell. It now looks like it is tearing the shell open and im worries that will leave him open to infection/disease. Is there anything i can do at this point? Im worried the damage is done. Thanks for any advice.

I gave my crayfish a small carrot yesterday about 1/3 of his length and he ate like half should I leave it in the tank or take it out now?
