Woke up and did a tea bath she looks a lot better before her tea bath I noticed she had some pieces of dead skin floating off and away her face. There used to be a piece that would go in and out her mouth and she breathed and now it’s gone!!

Axolotl concerns before buying

Posted: 17 Sep 2020 04:05 AM PDT

Hi all, sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. I have been considering getting an axolotl for quite some time. My main concern is that I go away for a week or two at a time about 3 times a year. What preparations do people make for their axolotl before periods away?

Guys the tea bath made the area around her mouth less red!!! I’m so happy right now I know it’s something small but Its one step to recovery!! I was trying to take a picture but she finally peeked into the cave I bought for her! I’m too excited!

I need some advice on how best to turn an old box tv into an aquarium

Posted: 17 Sep 2020 10:25 AM PDT

Hi! I'm planning on getting my first axolotl soon, and I have the idea to turn an old box tv my dad wants rid of into a tank for it. Does anyone have any tips and product suggestions to do so? Like what sealant to use, and what I need to look out for? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Need help, all of my levels are right where they should be except for nitrites. It’s sitting at 0.25ppm

I'm supposed to pick my axolotl up today and I'm not sure what to do. I put a splash of stability in the tank, but I'd hate to get my little guy if he'll be in distress because of it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Considering on getting an axolotl but I'm unsure what decor would be safe for them and also make them happy I know they need a good filtration system too that isn't too fast and I'm not sure what food I would give them does that anyone have any input on keeping axolotls

Cleaning glass jar for axolotl?

Posted: 16 Sep 2020 07:31 PM PDT

Hi guys! Hope this is okay to post.

My lil Tofu has outgrown his favourite hide, and I heard glass jars are great for them. I have a few that I have used or cleaned after holding sauces etc, what I want to know is how I can clean them for him to safely use without any danger of residue chemicals or the like.

I would really appreciate it!
