Hi i've had my pink fluffy fill axolotl for about 2 months or so and have had no problems. but suddenly his water got really cloudy and he had a large amonia spike. i was able for the most part to take care of the amonia with water and filter changes but his water is still extremely cloudy. he has two large plastic plants, 2 safe real plants, and a log to hide in. i do daily 20% water changes and his ph levels are fine as well. pls help why is his water still cloudy and how can i fix it? i really want to provide a good tank for him. info: ph level 7.4 amonia .25/.5 (i'm still working on recovering for that random amonia spike) nitrate 0 20gal tank no substrate just some large rocks feed him 3 pellets given to me by the seller a day ( he eats them all and he's still a juvenile) thank you

hey friends! just thought I’d get some opinions on my baby gypsy’s leg. second image is from when it first happened, it looked really good for awhile but it seemed to have started bleeding again. she has one tank mate but they’re very good together, and there’s been no fights since this incident.

I got my little girl, Rosie, from a pet store where she was kept with a couple fish that I assume nibbled her frills as she only had stubs when I brought her home a little over two months ago. They’ve grown a small bit but I haven’t seen much progress. Anything I can do to help her?

I have two axolotls and no matter what I do the tank is foggy. I have sand that I have rinsed out thoroughly and have been using for over a month. I recently upgraded to a 55gal and the same thing is happening, still cloudy water. Any ideas??

Axolotl shopping list!

I'm looking to set up an aquarium for an axie 🥺 it'll be my first axie, so I'm not quite sure on what I need to make sure it's as comfortable as can be. I just need recommendations on what to get?

I know the tank specifications as far as size, substrate, lighting, plants, etc. But what water filter should I use? What's the best way or product to keep the water temp regulated? I tend to keep my room around 60°-70° in the summer, but my windows are super drafty so it can get very cold in the winter. Finally, will any ol reptile or aquatic hide be okay? Or should I look for something specific?

EDIT: OH! What about lighting? I'd like to keep something to see them easier but again, wanna make sure they won't be uncomfortable!
